YEP you guessed it! They came to visit me again. I must grow these things like crazy! Well I was all packed and spending time with my hubby on the 20th of March. Was feeling crappy all day but just figured I was getting home sick already and I had yet to leave. Come Monday night I was in a full blown kidney stone attac****pt telling Jim that I was NOT going to the hospital that I would get through this because I was scheduled to leave for Florida at 6am the next morning. Well with the help of Vicodine, my hubby sent me to lay down and try to rest. Well to make a story short, I finally felt the stone travel into my bladder WOW what relief! Hubby would not believe that it was a kidney stone because I had just went to my urologist the week before and he said he saw no stones. Well the proof was in my strained urine. So THANK GOD I passed that bugger Monday night! I had a COLD time in Florida. Only had two days of beach weather but I am home now! Kevin I really think that tree was crooked and not the effects of the vicodene or my drink!!!

Wow, you've gone through a lot of these. Is there a certain cause? I heard too much protein, but i am not sure. I know i don't want to go through that, i'm glad you're feeling better and didn't have to cancel the trip. Hugs Linda

Hi Linda; My Urologist said that we all carry a certain enzyne(sp) and we usually absorb this in our gut but seeing we don't have a gut, it is filtered through our kidneys and attatch to crystal in our kidneys, therefore making us more prone to kidney stones.

I was just tested for kidney stones because I was having trouble with my side. I ended up having a kidney infection but they could not pin point the type of bacteria it was. So they just put me on an antibiotic. I really hope I never have a kidney stone. They sound terrible. Did you vomit when you had this attack too? I hear a lot of people have that associated with it as well. Suzanne 300/150

Alot of people vomit but mostly it is caused by the pain. I tried to with my first kidney stone, but I waited two days with that one because I did not know what it was, when I started to vomit, my hubby made me go to the ER. I have EXTREME groin pain through the whole process that radiates down my thigh, that is my sure sign that it is a kidney stone, plus I have the back and side pain. Hubby does not have the groin pain, just the back and side pain and vomitting. Guess everyone is different!
