Kidney Stone...
Well, what an adventurous week for me!!! My hubby left this past Saturday for Texas, and I was to be home with the boys for the week. I had things planned that we were going to do and I even had a Pampered Chef party in the works. Tuesday morning I woke up feeling "ok" and by the early evening I was in so much pain, I just wanted to drop! My family has a history of Kidney Stones, and I have been told to "Watch Out!!" Well, my day came and I wi**** never had. Tuesday evening was suppose to be a fun night, I had a bunch of girls coming over for a pampered chef party and about 15 minutes before the consultant got here, I was on my way to E.R.. Thanks to my awesome mom for playing hostess the party went on without me. It turned out to be a good party I must say ! My dad took me to the E.R. and they got me all checked in and they got me right into a room (cuz, my parents have pull up there!!! They both work there.) and got me to CAT scan and sure enough, my kidney was huge and there was a stone. And all I could do was . I have never been in pain like this before, and kept telling my dad that I would rather be birthing my boys!!! So, 2 days later, after the bugger decided it didn't want to go anywhere, they went in and scooped it out. And on day 3 I was discharged, and there went my fun week with the boys. So, I was bummed about that, but what do you do? I was so close to my 100 pound goal, and then they pumped me with fluid for 3 days. So, I have yet to have the urge to jump on the scale and see where I am at. Hopefully this week, I can hit my goal.
Sorry you had such a rough time. Tami Hickey has a problem with stones too (she's had them multiple times) and it is awful pain. My friend just went through that and they were to leave for Florida in two days. She got the stone taken out and actually made the drive on schedule, YIKES. Hope you don't have any more occurences. Drink lots of water and maybe cranberry juice mixed 1/2 with water? Take care, Pam
