Is this normal or just Crazy

I am scheduled for my wls on 4/17/06. The office that I work in my supervisor had wls a year ago. At first she was encouraging me to go ahead and do it. When she realized that I was really going to have it done her attitude changed. She went from excitement to discouraging me. I understand its not all glory and its alot of hard work but she just does not work at it. Just tell me are these things normal. 1. Every day after she eats she goes in the bathroom within 13-30 min and throws up. 2. She eats just as much as I do now. Even if she is full she still stuffs her self. 3. She eats dessert everyday, cookies,cake, gum, and candy.(not sugar free). After she does all of this she looks at me and say see what you will go through. I understand once you have this procedure you cant eat like that anymore but she has not stopped. I almost think she likes the attention or she just like to throw up what do you think

1 She eats too fast. 2 She wasn't ready for the surgery or the change it brings about. 3 She is building a tolerance for sugar. She has a large pouch that contains acid so she can get away with it. She will gain her weight back. Learn from her mistakes and realize that this is forever and you have to have the right mindset. kp fcp

Thanks Kp, I have been learning and watching. It almost like she has gotten the surgery and has become bulimic.

She is obviously not following the rules. I would not follow her lead. As long as you follow the rules there will be no problem. Sugar is not a part of the progam. Good Luck Linda 309/190/140

i'm gonna shoot point blank here... she's a dumbass. she's going against everything we are taught BEFORE even having surgery. She should know that what she's doing is not what's going to happen to you. Someone, somewhere dropped the ball with her and it was probably on the psych eval. She's not prepared or capable of following through and her surgery was a waste. Don't even worry about her, talk to your supports, your surgeon, your psych etc. They will make sure you know that you can't behave that way and expect your surgery to succeed. Sorry to be so blunt but those types of people are really starting to get to me, they blame everything on their surgery and the surgery works, they don't.

That was best put. She did it again 20 minutes after lunch she went in the bathroom and up-chucked and came out like everything was ok and normal. She did not pass the psych eval the first time. She had to go and see another psych doc to get ger okay.

I hear ya on the throwing up, cause when I have an "INCIDENT" as I call them of getting something stuck I heave and heave, and heave till HELL ALMOST FROZE OVER... It totaly puts me out of commission when I am able to bring up what got caught, some days I will be laid up for a few hours, some times depends on how bad it is I have even been out of commission for up to 36 hours. JUST LEARN FROM THIS WOMANS IGNORANCE AND STUPIDITY !!! Paige

i agree with everyone else, she's not following the program. But i also think there's jealousy in there too. You are now going to be the center of attention and she doesn't like it. Just keep doing what you know is right, and don't let her influence you. You're gonna do great, you've waited a long time for this. Hugs, Linda

You know Linda the doctor I work for made that same statement. He thinks she just needs to be the center of attention. He thinks what she is doing to herself is like self mutalation. I'm going to just pray for her and hopefully she will do better.
