I NEED A LITTLE SUPPORT PLEASE
Hi Bari Buds,
I really get irked by persons who whine and complain and sing the "poor little me" song too often, so this is a difficult post for me to write. However, without going into too much detail, I have been going thru a difficult time the last year due to my husbands deteriorating health. The last few days have been particularly tough and I admit to feeling pretty sad and probably more than a bit sorry for myself.
I ask for those of you who are willing to, whatever your faith journey or life path, to hold me and Steve (hubby) in your thoughts and prayers. It helps knowing that I have so many people here who care about us and the difficult cir****tances we find ourselves in.
OK - enough crying now. Thanks.
Hugzzz,
Pam
Dear Pam,
My dad left us the day after Valentine's Day this year from an 8 month battle with esophageal cancer that spread and chemo did no good. My mother is devastated and I cling to her for support for her soul and being as much as I can.
Allow me to offer all the support I can give you, as well as thought and prayer and hugs to you both, yourself and husband at this time in your life and always. My mother recently attended a bible retreat down in Findlay, Ohio and she went to a "grieving" session as she thought it would help her cope with her recent loss. She shared with me that there in that room was a 30 year old woman who was sobbing, telling her story. She had lost her 5 year old child and watched him get hit by a car and die. My mom said she felt so sorry for her. And she spoke these words to me this Monday night.
"I FELT SORRY FOR MYSELF WHEN I HAD NO SHOES TO WEAR, BUT I FELT EVEN WORSE FOR THE MAN WHO HAD NO FEET AT ALL". I believe the meaning is that there is always someone with problems far worse. (Not that your concerns are less- I am simply stating what she said)
May God above place angels around you both, love you with all his might, and protect you both from anything that comes in your way. May HE rest his love on your home, those surrounding you be nurtured by his love and know in their hearts that you are safe and guarded by his empowerment.
I pray for comfort in your heart, in your husband I pray for miraculous healing and peace. I pray that you find the GLORY God has to offer you both and know that HE can perform miracles....I know for a fact because I am a miracle to be here today--having had cancer myself 3 times.
I hope for overwhelming love and joy in your household and lives now and forever.
I use to live in Grand Rapids, and am only 1.5 hours away. If I can be of any help in your journey now or later, please do not hesitate to call upon me for support.
God Bless
Hi Pam,
We ALL need someone to listen to us whine and complain once in awhile. Thats what we are here for, not just for the good times, and the bragging about how well we are doing.
My thoughts & prayers go out to you and your family.
Remember, you can come here & whine when you can't go anyplace else!! We are a captive audience!! lol
God Bless you and your Dear Hubby.
Hugs
