Question About Psych Exams

Is this unusual: my surgeon has said that I don't need a psych exam. I thought this was mandatory? I'm kind of surprised - I am totally okay with it but am just wondering if it is unusual not to be told that you have to get one? Stef

I have the same DR, and it is mandatory, But only thru your insurance. About 99% of them want them. I guess your in the 1% ..lol Kimberley 3/15/2006
