Well first of all my insurance requires 18 months dr. supervised weight loss as one of their previsions. Well I did that but I did it back in like 1997. Now my surgeon's office is telling me that they will probably only look back to like 2 years worth of records....if that is the case then I am basically screwed before I even get started. Has anyone else had this type of problem, I mean why cant they go back to 1997, sure that is when I had the dr. supervised weight loss but then I gained it all back and more and have tried other avenue such as LA weight loss, joining fitness usa, trying on my own, its not like I just gave up after that. Does anybody know anything about this? Thanks for your help. Kim

Kim, Do you have the same PCP you had then? If so, have you discussed weight loss w/ him? If you have been w/ the same DR. & they weighed you & disscussed weight loss I think that would help. I think alot of it depends on what your pcp tells the insurance co. Good Luck Linda 309/191/140

Thanks for responding. No I dont have the same pcp. I had the first pcp from about 1996 to 2003 and then moved on to the other in 2003. The pcp I had from 1996 to 2003 is the one I did the 18 months of dr supervised weight loss. With the new pcp, I havent really done any diet stuff with.

Mt Doc's office got them to take my stuff all the way back to 1977 when the Dr. put me on speed. They used my nutri system stuff from 1989 (Remember me? I was in TV guid with a big pair of pants!). I gave them the dates, they wrote the letter and he fixed my chitlins. They did it all for me. Want the number? It's not CORI. I don't recomend them. kp @ goal
