From Ontonagon and new to OH
Hi everyone. A friend of mine told me to check out OH. Well I am floored by this site. This is an awesome site. I'm right now in the initial stages of getting things going. My doc says I'm a terrific cantidate fir the surgery. I'm waiting on a date for my consult. I weigh 311 pounds as of this morning and I get very little excersise because I have a lot of medical problems that make it hard to excersise. I still try though. I found a chair aerobics podcast that I try to do everyday. I'm also working very hard at limiting what I eat which helps my diabetes out a lot. I'm very excited about the prospect of having WLS. I just hope I can have it. I'm looking foreward to getting know all of you here or atleast as many as I can.

Hi Jeremy - Welcome to OH - This site has been a wealth of information and everyone is so supportive. I live in South Range and had my surgury 4/11/05 at Barix clinic in Ypsilanti. The WLS journey was the best decision for me and would do it over again if I had to. Best of luck to you with your WLS journey.

Thanks yall for the welcome. It's nice to know I'll have friends to turn to when I need them. I wish I could have the surgery today but like everyone else I have to wait until I cross all the t's and dot all the i's. My wife is so afraid she will come home from work someday and find me dead. When I think about that I start to cry. I wish she didn't have to feel that way but it could very well happen. I'm so big and hurt so much I don't really do much anymore. I'm 313 pounds and my hips and knees hurt so bad. In the morning I come downstairs and I sit in front of my computer and do that chair aerobics thing and try not to hurt. Now that the weather is getting nice I do go out onto my front steps and sit in the sun with my dog. I don't get out much though. I' so embaressed by the way I look. I finally got to see the way others see me a few weeks ago. I made one of the local papers here in town. When I saw the picture I just started to cry. Since then if we go anywhere I just stay in the van and let my wife go in the store or where ever we are.
