Happy Place and Profect Protein
2 completely unrelated topics...I think I have finally found my happy place. It has been a long time and coming. My depression was slowly lifting and happiness is setting in. I have never been fashionable so to speak. Well that is changing and I find a love for looking good. I think I am finally able to see what everone else sees. Thought I'd share since you were all there durning the dark days!
Wondering if anyone has tried the Profect Protein advertised on OH? I like the idea of getting so much protein in so little serving but it is rather expensive.
Thanks everyone and have a great week! ~Van
Good that you're doing better.
About the protein - Since we are made smaller in the pouch to slow down our eating it makes sense that the nutrients move through slow. If you take a compact protein source and it rambles through without an absorbtion aid we will lose those nutrients? As I understand it, it is best to have no more than 27 grams of protein over and hour. Does that help? I would save your dough and use conventional sources.

Hello everone I just thought I'd share this coupon for Profect if anyone is interested. Here's the link https://www.niceoffers.com/21505/10233
It's only 15% off but since that stuff is so expensive I thought every little bit you can save is better than nothing
Well hope this can save someone some bucks!
I have some of the Profect and I took a vial to my surgeon. This protein is not soy or whey based, it is an amino acid based and if this is used as your main source of protein, it can lead to muscle wasting. My surg said they are ok for a pinch, but not good for MAJOR usage. My nut described it as "incomplete" and it was not a "great" choice, but ok for the occasional use. I liked the taste pre-op and now I can barely stand it!
Just my 2 cents.
