Okay....So I went thru all that for nothing!!!!
Well, They didn't find anything so chances are they will have to do exploritory surgery....GRRRR. I just don't know what to do. I don't know if I want them to take my remnant stomach. I have been doing some research on DS and I am wondering if I should revise to a DS instead of them taking my remnant stomach out. Once it's gone it's gone. I haven't had any symptoms in over a week. A little pain once in a while but nothing like it was, and no bleeding either. Maybe I should wait to see if I have anymore problems. Maybe it will fix it self....LOL. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers. Take care all. God Bless---Toni
I don't see him until the 7th. I am sure he will have a stroke about me talking about a DS, needless to say! But I am going to do what is best for my body for the future. I have not made any definate decisions, I am just researching all of my options. I don't like to leave an stone unturned. Believe me I would just asoon leave my plumbing the way it is, but if it comes down to having to change it I need to look at all of my options. God Bless---Toni
Toni you are in my thoughts and prayers. I can relate to you also about having to face exploritary surgery because that is what I am facing to. I have my appointment on April 11. I had to have a colonoscopy done also and found nothing. I feel your pain and frustration when you have to deal with pain. Good luck with your appointment with Dr Wood and sending you a big HUG Tricia
Hi Toni,
I think that if you are feeling better I would hold off on exploratory surgery. For now - take a wait and see attitude.
If I am remembering correctly, the other day you had a question for me about ulcers. Sorry I am taking so long to get back to you.
If your medical staff have done appropriate testing, believe me they would have found out very early on if you have an ulcer, espiecially if it was bleeding as mine was. The symptoms are quite clear, passing blood, passing out, low hemoglobin count, extreme fatique, and a heart rate that is very elevated. By elevated I mean - mine is normally mid 60's up to 70. At the time I was admitted thru the ER it was 120+. The triage nurse said she could tell as soon as she saw me that something was "very wrong." It is just very obvious when a person is bleeding internally.
So, if your drs. say they haven't found an ulcer, you can probably rest assured that it is not a problem. However, continue to pay careful attention to how you feel and if you have any doubts get medical attention right away.
I am so happy that you are beginning to feel better. I hope it continues for you.
Blessings,
Pam
