APRROVED Pending Psych Eval!
Okay.. I just got the call from HAP. My surgery is approved pending my Physch eval, (which I couldn't have until I was approved through Henry Ford).. Can you believe it??????? I will get the papers next week and then I can make my appointment for the evaluation.
Has anybody out there had Dr. Frank or Dr. Geitz through Henry Ford for their pshych eval? I will have an appt. with one of the two.. and I am very nervous. I still feel like they are going to try to trip me up or something. My Therapist said he is not worried about me passing it whatsoever... but I still have some anxiety.
I am SO glad I went to my appeal hearing.. I think that made all the difference!!!! I don't think it has all sank in yet!

I've been reading your posts and I was totally praying for you! I had a hard time with my BC/BC pos, nothing like you but I can sympathize. CONGRATS! I'm so happy that you got approved. Don't be nervous about your evail. It will be a breeze! I'm scheduled for surgery on the 13th of April and I am so excited! I'm sure you'll get a date before you know it and then you'll be on your way to a healthier life. Again Congratulations and I am very happy for you. Lindsay

THANK YOU JESUS! I knew this would happen for you Kim. You had way to many prayers going up for you girl. I had Dr. Anne Eshelman, see if you can get an appt. with her. She is really easy. I spent 45 minutes talking with her. When we started, she asked me some questions, and asked me to remember three words ~cat hat tree~ I still remember them lol, and made a simple line drawing, and asked me to make one like it. She told me she thought I would do well with the surgery and passed me. She also runs the second support group meeting of the month. She has this Tuesday's meeting, if you're interested in going. I am so happy for you Kim. Congratulations. This surgery is so worth the fight.

That is AWESOME Kim!!! I'll bet it is a real load off your mind. You will do fine with your eval. When I had mine I had to do a 500 question test. I think that was the lonnnngest and dummiest test I have ever taken....LOL. I know you will do just fine so don't worry. Take care and good luck with all your preop stuff. God Bless---Toni
