Just introducing myself!!!

I have been lurking on here for quite some time and just joined last nite. This process is moving along quicker for me than I could of imagined. I started this quest only about 1 month ago and I am waiting for a surgery any day now. I know some of you have ill feelings with the Cori center, but so far they have been really great for me, my surgeon will be Dr, Kole. 5 members of my family have had this surgery done over the past five or so years, so I know what I am getting into, but am am still a ball of nerves. Hope to get to know some of guys, I just wanted to say hi....

Hi Margaret!!! Glad to have you with us! I did not go thru Cori, but many have and have been very happy with their outcomes. It's what you make it, I beleive. I know many speak highly of Dr. Kole, so you are in good hands. Best of luck on your journey and welcome to the group! Theresa

Hello from Grosse Ile! I'm new here also, having lap RNY in 5 1/2 weeks - so excited too. This has been a great place to learn more about WLS, even though Ive researched for a few years now, I enjoy reading everyone's posts..keeps me motivated and feel supported.

i had my surgery thru dr wood and ciri too. I have had a great experience with them and their staff. If you ever need anything they always do their best to help you. My surgery date was 12-13-05. so far i have lost 70 lbs. I am very excited about the new me. if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask.

Hello, Welcome to the site and to Cori. Dr. Kole just did my tummy tuck on Monday. He did not do my first surgery, Dr. Sch. did that but he's no longer with Cori. The first time at Harper I had no problems but this last time I had a few. Enough to feel that I never want to go back to Harper again. But that is me. I was in a different part of the hospital this time and maybe that was why. I now have a new belly button, according to my brother, he's taking care of the bandaging. I'm still morbidly obese and it looks like that's the way I'll be, I haven't lost anything since I was 7 months out, but I feel a lot better. I have other medical problems. Good losing, Stes
