Post TT ????

I had two hernias and a TT on December 8. About two weeks ago I started having a tearing or pulling feeling in my stomach. It was painful, but only once in a while. In the past few days, the pain is constant. Almost as painful as when I had the RNY. I saw both my surgeons this week, who told me it was nothing. HEck, it hurts for nothing. Wondering if anyone who is post TT has had this? One surgeon said it is the nerve endings coming together. I mean, I am almost doubled over in pain. Both doctors told me to follow up with the other if it continues...passing the buck if you asked me. HElp!! Tracey

Tracey, I have to agree with you. I am willing to bet money that what you are experiencing is a build up of scar tissue. It can attach itself to other parts of your body and you will feel the pain from the pulling. I would definately get a second opinion. I hope you feel better. Please keep us posted on the results. Tracey, I can definitely relate, and agree with Toni. I personally ended up going to a physical therapist because the scar tissue was aggravating a muscle in my lower abdomen/hip. She taught my how to properly massage along my entire incision to gently pull that scar tissue from where it was attaching...and it was like that everywhere...and felt like tearing...but felt much better once I did daily massage for a while. The PT couldn't believe the surgeon did not teach me how to massage and avoid scar tissue. Good luck to you...and get massaging!! Kathy

The kids above me a right. Your bod does strange things when it heals. Scar tissue forming and the nerves reconnecting!!!! It gave me nasty shocks while that was happening and right of the blue with no warning either. Man they hurt. I had one happen while walking at the mall. Oh my God! It zinged me so hard and I tensed up and ripped this loud fart. Scared the hell out of me. I blamed it on Jon. They can be painfull but they have gone away. Not the farts - the zingers. kp@ goal
