Any good bypass surgeons in Lansing?

Hi I had my wls with Dr Wood at Cori and LOOOVE him however I don't have reliable enough transportation to make 3 hour trips to see him I really need to find a good doc on the Lansing area so that I can keep up on my follow ups and have my hernia looked at if you know of anyone please let me know thanks Hugs Jess

Hi! My name is Lindsay. I live here in Lansing and I have an idea for you. Ingham Regional is implementing a Bariatric Surgery program to their weight management program. I go to the support group there that is held the first thursday of every month. You might try to call them. I believe they are modeling their program after the one at MMPC in grand rapids. the number is 374-4911. I understand about the distance, I am going through Barix in Ypsi and I know it is far. I've heard good things about this program through the support group. They are very excited the program. They are also wonderful people. The support group, like I said is held the first thursday of every month from 6-7. It is in the education center on the corner of greenlawn and washington. I wish you the best of luck in finding a doctor. IF you ever want to talk or need more info about the group just send me an e-mail. Hi Jess: MMPC is in Grand Rapids right off I-96 in Cascade. It's not right in Lansing, but it's not an awful drive from Lansing, either. Dr. Baker has tons of experience and he personally picked and trained the other two doctors. Their number is 1-877-877MMPC. I picked Dr. Baker since he's the "go to" guy when new procedures come along and has all that experience. I love the guy! Take care and hope that helps, Pam

Hi Jessica, I had my surgery performed by Dr. Cudjoe at Gratiot Bariatric Treatment Center in Alma, Michigan just about 45 minutes to the north of Lansing. The program coordinator is Tammy Strack and you can reach her by calling 989-466-7456. Dr. Cudjoe is AWESOME! I would recomend him and Gratiot Bariatric Treatment Center to anyone.
