PBing ALMOST ALL MEATS ?????
Cathy: With the amount I can eat, I have to have a bunch of small meals per day. I still have to have a protein shake each evening to get me over the 80 -100 grams where I feel my best. I still keep my calories in the 1500 range with that amount of protein, too. When I was losing, I would keep the calories from 1000-1200 and protein from 60-80 (higher if I could). I have to have really moist meat if I have chicken or turkey (I still don't have as much luck with it as with beef). I need a little gravy or sour cream or something to be able to get it down. Try deli sliced meats if you have problems with the other meats. They are so thin and more moist, so they do go down more easily. Then there's cottage cheese, yogurt, and such you could eat for protein. I would think if you can handle ground beef, you should be able to do the deli meats, they are easier than beef. There are also beans that have protein you could try. Soups with lots of well cooked meat might be helpful, too. Let me know if any of that helps! Pam
Hi Cathy,
I don't tolerate meat well at all. I get my protein from protein powder mixed with F.F. milk twice a day. I also mix 1 tablespoon of any whey unflavored protein powder in everything else I eat. That gives me an additonial 9 gr. of protein per tablespoon. I hope this helps.
God bless you,
Annette
