WHAT DO YOU DO?
Hello to all my "bari buddies":
as many of you know one of the toughest things for me is to get out and excersise. I am now on my way out the door to do just that but first, I am wondering about all of you guys. My goal is to walk at least 1-2 miles 4-5 times per week.
So ... What type of excersise do you do and how often?
I think it will be interesting to see the varied answers from all of you. So please take a minute to post.
Thanks and have a beautiful week!
hugzzz,
pam
I am still 6 weeks to surgery but decided yesterday that I REALLY need to get my butt moving! Hoping it will make the recovery easier I am walking - plain ole fashion exercise. I get my ipod and go.....Good for you, the weather if finally looking better (sunny at least)....I use to live in GR - lots of pretty walking and a bit hilly if you live downtown - have a great week - our goals are the same, so I think of you in west mich!
HI! I try to walk for an hour three days a week. ( I go to the mall while my oldest is at school - I push the youngest in the stroller) I also love my aerobics videos which I am able to do while my kids play. I love step aerobics, tae bo, and my favorite so far is "Aerobics for Dummies". Literally step - by - step for the not so coordinated. I also try to squeeze in my weight lifting pilates balance ball video a couple times a week. I don't always have time to do it all every week, but I make time to do something 6 days a week. Holly
I am waiting for a surgery date but have started at Curves. This will help me get stronger for the surgery, get me in the habit of exercising, and it is relatively low impact on my old arthritic knees. It has been hard and painful, but necessary. I will start walking as well now that Spring is coming, but walking is difficult. Curves has the machines that decrease stress on the weight bearing joints, but I know that a walk is something I will again be able to enjoy someday. For now, I'll suck it up and take short walks and do Curves 3 times a week.
It can't hurt.

When I work in the office (which is most of the time) I average about 3 - 4 miles a day just walking between the office buildings. On days that I don't work in the office I make sure to take my dog for a walk, but with the winter fading I am hoping to add a lot more outdoor activities to my work out.
Hi Pam,
Mostly I walk. I also use my walk away the pounds dvd, and Billy Blanks bootcamp dvd. Billy is hard for me, but I try to do him every other day, for about 10 minutes. I find that I love to roller blade and find myself doing that almost as much as I walk. I use my fitness ball as well~ I love my ball.
God bless you,
Annette
Well, walking outside is my favorite...just can't seem to get motivated inside. So, I decided I am braving the cold right after work and walking! I usually walk 4 miles about 5 days a week when I'm "into it", but now that I'm just starting off again, I'll probably only go two miles tonight. First real walk outside this year! Gotta bundle up! Hugs, Theresa
