Hello from the Kalamazoo Area!

Sheryl!!!!! Yes... When I saw your picture I knew who you were!! Anissa did tell me that you had the surgery, we just haven't had the chance to talk yet!! I am soooooo glad that you had Dr. Saber.... I didn't know that but now I feel even better! One of my co-workers had Dr. Saber also. He had the surgery about 2 weeks ago, then I found out that he got an infection and had to go back in the hospital. It really freaked me out, and caused me to start wondering if I was making the right decision. I called my sister (who is probably my biggest cheerleader) and she talked me through some fears. So that was good, that and I found this site and got real encouraged!! Thanks for saying Hello, and the encouragement!! See ya tommorow maybe!! God Bless! Kathy

Hi Kathy, I am pre-op also, scheduled for RNY on May 1st -just 6 weeks! I just found the site also this past week and am so glad and grateful for the info....everyone here knows there stuff! My aunt lives in Portage and had her bypass in December but I dont think she goes to support groups or this web site - Ill have to fill her in! She's hardly told anyone she even had the surgery - me Im yelling from thr rough tops I cant wait! Kathryn McGee

Hi Kathy, I'm a newbie too and can't wait to make friends with all my Michigan ppl here. I am so glad I found this place. I'm so new I just made the appointment with PCP( I think that stands for primary care physician) to discuss the surgery with him so I'll know where to go from there. Keep us all posted. Good Luck!! I'll always get excited when I learn that someone had a positive experience. It means there is hope for me. LOL!!
