Hi everyone, My husband and oldest daughter are in the middle of a nasty bout of stomach flu. They have had vomitting and diarrhea and some serious stomach cramping. I have been working really hard all winter to not get sick with anything. I am quite concerned about getting this flu. Has anyone had it post-op? It is any different post-op than it was pre-op? Do we have a more difficult time recovering due to our malnutrition status? Are these stupid questions? Any insight to this would be appreciated, maybe I am worrying for no reason. Thanks, Danielle Rice Starting weight 244 Goal weight 138 Current weight 135

Been there done that about two or three weeks ago. Thought I was gonna die. I found it hard to get nutrition in, but a product called "smar****er" had the required electrolytes in plain water that seemed to build me back up easier. I also drank their "vitamin water" diluted with "smar****er" I drank the one called "perform" that has extra B vitamins and electrolytes in it. Since gatorade and those products are full of sugar, it did make hard to find something to rehydrate. When I started eating again, I started with my R-Kanes Pro-Lite Protein Soup mix in Cream of Chicken, 15 grams of protein, and it really isn't that awful after not eating for three days. I also spent alot of time sleeping and for some reason felt better relaxing in the tub to ward off the chills. And hey there Danielle, there are no stupid questions, except the ones that go unasked!!! We are all happy to help because you will always find someone who has been there and done that in one way or another even if it is and Jill
