Thursday is coming and I am nervous
Hey there-
The closer Thursday gets the more nervous I get. I wasn't this nervous when I had my initial surgery. I am on the schedule for 8am and have to be at the hospital at 5:30am. I live 2 and a half hours away from the hospital. We are going to have to get up about 2am. Wonder if I should even go to bed. I know that removing my remnant stomach is going to make things better. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers on Thursday morning.

Hi Charla: Can't you get a room at the Renucci House so you don't have to be up all night? Try them again if they were full, they sometimes have last minute openings. They are inexpensive, too for a nice room. I know we wouldn't have made it up to G.R. in the a.m. without staying there! I am praying that this surgery will solve you pain problems! Keep good thoughts! Do you have the Renucci House number? I might be able to find it, if not. Pam
Hi Charla,
You will be in my prayers on Thursday, I just got done reading your profile. I knew you have had problems in the past but I didn't realize how bad until I read your profile. I too have begun to have some problems. Nothing in comparison to yours, I am over 21/2yrs out and I am very fortunate that this has been my first I have had any problems. When I went to see the surgeon about my colonoscopy he said that he also suspected my remnant stomach. I am not having the nausea and vomiting, but I am having the same pain and black tar stool. I haven't had the stool in a couple of day's now, but I have been talking to someone else that is going thru this very thing, but she isn't having the pain but is constantly bleeding out. She too is having surgery on thurs., but hers is exploritory. I am beginning to wonder how many of us are out there that are having problems. I am fortunate that my pain comes and goes, but when I do have it it is pretty bad. I have heard that the bleeding as well as the pain can come and go with no rhythm or reason. I am sorry that you and others have had to go thru this, but I do want to thank you for being open with your problems so that the rest of us can learn from you. Please keep us posted on how you are doing.God Bless and take care.---Toni
Hi Toni-
I have been wondering how you are doing. It is so weird. When I read your post the other day I wondered about your remnant stomach. There could be ulcers in your remnant stomach and they would never know. For the longest time I always thought I was the only one that had problems. Then I met some very nice people that had more problems than me. Sometimes I think the Dr's don't want us to know that we aren't their only problem patient. Two of those ladies that I have never met in person are going to come and visit me while I am in the hospital. I am anxious to meet them. It just stinks that I have to go in the hospital to get together with these lovely ladies. Keep us posted on how you are doing also. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

Charla,
Prayers go out to you and your surgeon. I hope this takes care of the pain you have been having. Hope this puts you where you need to be which is on the road to recovery. And most of all I hope you get what you want, which is peace from this pain. Thank you for all the encouragement you have given me, sometimes it is the littlest thing that makes the difference in how you are feeling. You knew this and stepped up to the plate for me. Thank you.
Cheryl
Cheryl-
You are so sweet. I think of you often. If anyone deserves approval for bariatric surgery you are it. You keep on pushing and that is what you need to do. Remember the squeeky wheel gets the grease. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated. I pray that you get your answer soon and that it is yes.
