Well I am more confused then ever!!!
I first want to thank everyone for your prayers and thoughts they really make a difference. I do appreciate all of the great advice as well. I usually will find better answers here then I do with my pcp.
Well yesterday about 3:00 my pcp sent me to the ER the pain was so bad that they gave me morphine. I spent the next 7hrs on an ER bed, doing test after test and waiting for the results until about 10:00 when they admitted me. They did a complete blood work up and found my hemogobin was only 6.8 my pcp about had a stroke when he see that! They had to give me a couple of pints of blood last night. My hemoglobin is now about 9. I thought I was tired just because I was working to much. No wonder I was so tired and can't remember a thing....LOL. I have a blood disorder call thelasemia minor my body doesn't produce blood the way it should anyway, because of that he thought maybe my spleen was enlarged or there was a problem with my liver so they did a CAT scan and that came back normal as well. Needless to say I have everyone scratching there heads. So this morning they did a scope into my pouch to check for an ulcer. On monday they are going to go the other way Yikes!!! But I am pretty sure it's not in the lg. intestines because the blood is black by the time it comes out so my theory is that it is an ulcer my small intestines. If it is that, they will have to do a special nucular test with my blood cells. I am very frustrated to say the least. I just hope they get to the bottom of this soon. I took a vicodin tonight to get some relief but, it isn't touching it so far. I took maalox a little while ago and it seems to help some. I will keep you posted as I find out something. I will be off work for at least a few more days. So I will have a little extra time to post. God Bless and take care. Toni
Toni you are in my thoughts and prayers and I can relate to how frustrating it can get when you have no answers to the cause of your problem. I have gone through the same tests many times and they are not so bad because they knock you out good worst part is the prep. I hope you feel better really soon. Hugs Tricia
