Psych Eval and Greenfield Filter

You'd think I (as a nurse) wouldn't be stressing about this, but I am freaking about this psych eval. At another site all I heard were horror stories about the test and its subsequent eval. UGH! I will also be getting a greenfield filter...just wondered if anyone out there had one as well. It will be inserted before the bypass is done and it has me worried. Leave it to me to make things more difficult than they probably are. Any advice, encouragement, etc. will be appreciated. Mary

i passed the pysch eval and anyone who knows me will tell you that i'm completely freaking insane. so relax. I didn't have a filter but i would've been a lot less nervous had i been given one. It's going to give you extra protection. so relax.

Well Jay, I'm pretty freaking insane as well so I guess I'll quit worrying about that! I've had some great responses to the Greenfield...thaks everyone. Mary

The filter was a breeze. I went back to work the next day. My neck was a little sore (like when you have a stiff neck) for a few days. Take care, Fran

I had a filter placed and removed twice. I'll haveta agree with Fran...it really wasnt much discomfort at all...just a general achyness in the neck where the incision was.

I had the filter put in thru my groin and not my neck! I would of freaked if it was thru my neck!!! I still have it....dont feel it..good protection. After laying flat for like 4 hrs I was able to go home and was fine. S-
