Something is terribly wrong!!! Any insight or advice? (graphic, Sorry)

Well a couple of days ago I got a pain in my abdomen that was horrible. It lasted 14hrs before it began to ease. It didn't ease until I had a bowel movement (I am not having constipation problem either) (This is the gross part, at the end of the BM It was very black. But I felt better afterwards. I just thought I got the flu. The next day my BM was fine, but I was still experiencing a great deal of pain. Well when I was at work today I had a BM and the entire thing was BLACK!!! I know that black in your bowels means blood. Needless to say it scared the crap out of me!!! I took an xray at work and took it to the drs. with me. I thought I must have a bowel blockage. My pcp doesn't think so according to the xray, He did check for blood in my stool and it is definately there. He is thinking maybe an ulcer, but I am not so sure unless the ulcer is in my bowels because it is to low to be my pouch. I am having non stop grumbling in my intestins. He wants to do a scope both ways (if you get my drift). He also wants to run blood tests. He also wants to check for colon cancer. He said it probably wasn't likely for that because of my age but he wants to make sure. So if anyone out there has any suggestions PLEASE send them my way. I know I am not thinking very clearly because, between the pain and being VERY nervous about what this is. I am not sure if I am checking all of the possiblities of what it could be. Geez Toni, that sure is scary! I would think that the problem has to be somewhat higher up than say the colon since by the time the blood comes out it is black, if it was low in the intestines, it would be coming out red from what I've heard.. That does sound like an ulcer. My mom had one about 10 years ago and was throwing up black blood. Let us know what happens. When are you scheduled for the tests? I'll be praying for you sweetie! Toni... I got my MD out of a Cracker Jack box so obviously I am of no help. I hope they are able to find out whats going on soon.. I KNOW how unnerving it is to not feel well and not have answeres. Take care of yourself, try and relax.. I KNOW easier said then done... Prayers, Erin

Hi Toni! I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I hope everything is okay. I have no clue what else would make you bleed like that. Please keep me informed. I'll be praying for you. Rick comes back home tomorrow. I am taking a half day and going down to Flint to pick him up. He doesn't know. I wanted to surprise him. I took Friday off too!
