Poster girl 3 month check up
I went for my three month follow up today. All of my lab's are good, and everything is looking great. I am down 67#'s since surgery for a total of 133#'s. My B.M.I. is at 44.8 down 24.3 %. My surgeon is the best ever! He told me he can't help smiling whenever he see's me. That I have lost about 25 to 30 years off my face, and I look like a totally different person. He said he was going to use me as his poster girl. Dr Carlin is so special. Today I weigh the same as I did when I was 13 years old. I am so much happier than I have ever been in my life! I can hardly wait to see what awaits for me in the next 6 to 9 months.
God bless you all,
Annette
Thank you Shari. You will get to this point. There were times as a pre-op that I never thought I would even get the surgery. So many people here kept me encouraged to keep fighting to the end. Now even my surgeon is amazed by my progress. I have been so blessed and continue to be. Thank you again for your kind words.
God bless you,
Annette
Thank you Mary. I'm sure you will be joining us soon. Just keep fighting. I have learned this procedure is well worth the time it takes to win the battle with the insurance companies. I am a totally different person now. A lot of changes have taken place over the last few months. Mostly all good. The difference in the way I feel is incredible. Sometimes I can't believe it's true. I look at clothes and think there is no way these will fit me, they look so small (compared to what I was used to). Then I am so surprised when they fit. I think he said he was going to use me as his poster girl just as a figure of speech, not really making a poster. I do get to share my "struggle with obesity story" with a group of people considering the surgery on April 18th. I look forward to doing that. Everyone from our H.F.H.S. support group has the opportunity to share their story. I think that's really cool.
God bless you Mary,
Annette
