Lent starts today...

...for those of you that recognize this religious season. Maybe this will kick-start me in the right direction, with the help of the Lord above! I plan to be more focused mentally and spiritually. I haven't posted much lately, but hope all are doing well! Hugs, Theresa

...To be more accurate, Lent started yesterday for Latin Rite Catholics. For many of the other Rites in the Catholic Church (myslef included being Byzantine Rite Catholic) Lent started Monday. Just my 2 cents. But I hope you find the inspiration you need to lead a healthy life.

Let me reminence about one Lent... My birthday occured two days after Ash Wednesday. Now, being Southern Baptist, Lent is something we don't practice, but I do respect others who do. Anyhow, a group of us met for our First Friday Lunch, and I of course ordered something meaty, and an alcolohic drink. "Elmer Fudd" comes in (complete with that wacky hunting had) - he still had the ashes on his forehead!! He started berating me for eating meat and drinking on a Friday no less!! I just laughed it off and so did everyone else...but then you have to know how this "Elmer Fudd" character! This guy cannot remember my name, and I've introduced myself by several different names! I mean, you tell this guy something (especially jokes) and it goes WAY OVER HIS HEAD!!
