Hi everyone! I've been MIA with bronchitus. Going on 2 weeks now, it's tiresome. I have a question though and I'm hoping someone here can answer it. I have to go out of town this weekend. Can anyone recommend some good places to stay in Bay City. The internet is giving me places but no pics or reviews. I don't want to take out a loan to afford it but I don't want a dive either. We're traveling with 5 kids. Oh and some good news... I'm down 70 lbs! Sheryl In the Zoo

I cannot recommend any place good to stay but they have a really nice antique mall along the water that can take you hours to walk through. Anytime we are up that way we usually walk through. The park along the river is nice too. We usually have lunch there at least once a year. You can always stay somewhere along 75 which might be cheap. I know that M10 and 75 is basically where Bay City is. There might be some chain hotels there. It is a nice area around there. If you dont mind driving a bit I know there is a few hotels along 75 near Saginaw. Hope that helps Suzanne 300/153/150

Sheryl... Bay City is a ctue town. Lots of foo-foo lady shops, antique stores and BARS! ( oh wait 5 kids kinda kills that idea!). I'd say the Doubble Tree in Bay City is the nicest place. However with 5 kids you might want to look at the HOLIDAY INN in MIDLAND. THey have a great pool and indoor play structure.... that way little and BIG kids can stay entertained. MIDLAND is about a 20 min car ride from Bay City. My favorite resturant in Bay City is Old City Hall.. not sure how old the kids your with atre so that might not be teh best idea. However both Midland and Bay City have a TON of resrutants ranging from bob Evens to Bennigan's. Let me know if you need more information!!!!!! Im MORE then glad to help ya out! Erin

Sheryl, If you will be close to Wilder Rd there is a fairly new hotel there, along with Cracker Barrel, Uno steak house, Ponderosa and then about 3-4 miles down is the mall and tons of resturants. Applebees, Walmart, Red Lobster, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Burger King etc etc etc.
