1 Last Surgery

Well I had an appointment today with Dr. Kemmeter to discuss my consult with Cleveland Clinic and a possible reversal of my gastric bypass. Many of you know all the problems I have had over the last year and a half. Prior to having the gastric bypass when I was just getting out of high school I suffered with Bulimia. It has been under control for about 15 years. I never told the doctor about this prior to the surgery as I didn' think that they would approve me. After a very long discussion with Dr. Kemmeter and my mom we have decided to remove the remnant stomach as that is where 90% of my pain is located. Dr. Kemmeter said that he felt that 90% of my nausea was from that. I truly believe that also. They are going to schedule it for sometime in March. I was deathly afraid that if they reversed me and I gained my weight back my bulimia would return. Dr. Schauer's at Cleveland Clinic also thought that removing the remnant stomach was the best idea. Thank you each and everyone for your thoughts, prayers and concerns. In a few weeks I am going to need any prayers that I can get. I will post and let anyone interested the surgery date as soon as I get it. Hugs- Char

I had my surgery with the Cleveland Clinic in Florida and i can tell you they are MOST impressive. Their doctors and their quality of care not to mention the hospital was like staying in a nice hotel. Good luck to you.
