New to the board

Hi everybody. I am new to the board and I just want to tell all of you thank you for all of the great advise and posts you have put on this board. It has really helped me understand WLS and really think about why I want to have it and how it can make a difference in my life. I am in the process of gathering my ins co. requirements. I am working with Barix clinics and am hoping that Dr. Shram can perfom my surgery. All of my requirements will be met --hopefully--by next week. Barix told me that once I get the info to them and they submit it, that it may take up to 6 weeks for and answer. I would like to know if anyone had to wait that long for an answer. I know if depends on the insurance company, but I am just trying to figure out if 6 weeks is an over estimate or a realistic time frame.
