Curious-any WL drugs that worked?

I was just curious to know if anybody out there has had any success at all with any type of prescription WL drug.

Kim, I took Meredia for about a year. I lost around 40 pounds, however, as soon as I stopped taking them, I put back on about 60 or more. In my experience, prescription drugs are no different than anything else out there. You may have a different outcome than I did though.

I took Phen-Fen before they took it off the market and lost over 50lbs, but after I had to stop taking it, I packed on 80lbs. So they work but you can't take them forever and 99% of the time you regain all or more after you stop taking.

Yep, Most all of them work, then you stop taking them and WHAM!! The weight is back with a vengence!! I have tried em all, from 1969 to 2003!! I must have lost & found the same 150 pounds a million times!! PLUS!!! So yeah, most all of them work, but nothing does long term except eating correctly or weight loss surgery-- well dying but,,,,,,,,,,thats kinda drastic I think!! Take care DE

Hi Kim, I have taken many, many prescription drugs for weight loss. Not all of them worked. I would even say that none of them worked for long term weight loss. As soon as I stopped taking them the weight came back on plus more. In my opion they do more harm than good. I hope this helps. God bless you, Annette

I actually had some decent results with Xenical but the side effects were so horendous I quit taking it. Of course I then gained back 30 pounds more than I lost.
