Hello Well tomorrow is my Big DAY BUT!!!!!............... Now who knows
Today I waited till 12:00 to call the HR dept at my work and find out if they received the overnight post office envelope I sent friday afternoon for my cobra to be started today so I could have insurance tomorrow for my surgery. I was told nothing had been received and when my dad did a tracking on the computer it said they tried to deliver it yesterday sunday Which I was told by the postal worker that if it went out friday it would be delivered sat so then the tracking notice said that a second attempt will be made and then it will be sent back to the post office and held. So the hospital called and said do you have new insurance and I told them the situation they would not show any compassion at first and just told me they were cancelling my insurance and to wait to hear from the surgeon's office. I called back and forth between my surgeon and my hr. Then the office manager god bless her soul helped me out she called had me put back on for surgery last and talked to the lady in patient registration Karen. So now my surgery is scheduled for tomorrow at 2:30 pm but the office manager told me to be there at 10:30am. It all lies in the hands of the post office if they get the mail there to the BIG mail room at my headquarters and the hr get the check then I will be reinstated under cobra. I cant belive even with a tracking number that they cant reinstate me I was up set alot but I have put it in god's hands. I know if its supposed to be it will be. If they hr doesnt call stating they have the check then I will not have surgery til 3/7/2006.
I want to thank everyone who has given me support and advice.
I hope to report next week that I am on the loosing side. But if not then god had a plan.
Hugs
