Been traveling - how are ya'll?
Hi everybody -
I've been traveling for the last two weeks for work so I haven't had a chance to sneak onto the boards. How are ya'll?
I got a second promotion and my new role will probably involve travel if not weekly, every other week for the forseeable future.
Anyone else travel a ton? I'm trying to get some tips on how to best maintain my nutritional status at hotels. I think I'm doing ok eating protein but I goofed and forgot my packets of protein drinks before my last trip and by the time I got home last night, I was WHIPPED.
I had protein bars in my handbag and that saved my life when I had a long stretch before I could get some food - but I know it wasn't enough.
Anyway - please know I haven't been on the boards since I've been a road warrior - not because I didn't want to come say "Hi."
Best,
Michele P
Hi Theresa -
It looks like I'll be traveling every week in the short term.
I thought I'd covered my bases, protein bars/packets and staying in hotels with kitchenettes but I'm having a hard time nutritionally. My pouch still only wants fish (which I LOATHE) and rejects all chicken and beef.
So, all the traveling is really taking a toll. I'm so, so tired. I'm sure when I see the Dr. on Wednesday and he does the blood work, mine will look terrible.
I've ordered the post-op Vista vitamins hoping that my blood work will look better when I have them twice a day. I just can't make the chewables work. Any of them - I think they are all just digusting. I must have been through 5 brands of chewable vitamins trying to find one I can be consistent with but so far, no luck. I think I will do better on ones I can just swallow and be done with it.
Thank goodness for GNC - I found the sublingual B-12's they have and that really helped the energy levels.
Anyway - good to hear back from my Angel. Miss you guys - hope work slows down enough where I can come hang out a little more often.
Best,
Michele P
