Henry Ford's WOW program?

Has anyone tried this? It's the 12 month supervised diet my PCP recommended.

Henry Ford has the best before, during, and after care I have ever seen. They have an excellent reputation, #1 in Michigan. They strive to keep it that way. The surgeons and staff truly care about the obese and want their patients to succeed. They even have a relapse prevention program. Everything they do, is to help you do what you need to do to prepare yourself for the surgery, and the lifestyle changes you will go through with this procedure. This isn't for surgery. It's a diet and exercise program. I'm supposed to do this for a year. If I don't have luck with it, THEN I can proceed with WLS. It's Working On Wellness or something like that. I'm not thrilled to have to do this but it's required.

Hi Dee Dee, I don't blame you for not wanting to do this. Do you have hap by any chance? I'm sure like most of us at OH you have dieted for a good portion of your life time, but I could be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time. In a sense the WOW program is a part of the surgery, because you cant have the surgery without it. I was just saying that Henry Ford is a really good Hospital to go to for this program, and that they have excellent care during all phases of this process that's all. God bless you, Annette

Hi Dee I have HAP and my pcp is at Henry Ford Hospital. HAP denied me also and said I need to do a medically supervised weight loss program.....Im trying to fight it. Ive dieted so many times and failed. Thats the whole reason I came to HFH for bariatric. I do not want to have to go on a diet again. None of them work for me. Im hoping I can appeal and win.
