Hey Everybody... I had surgery with Dr. Taylor at Cori on 1-9-06. I have started to vomit alot since introducing foods. I can eat cheese, hotdogs and protein bars with no problem.....everything else seems to give me huge amounts of pain and I have to get sick. This morning though I had my usual meds and a sip of water with each before work. I had to pull over on my way to work and got violently ill. Is this normal when starting foods? Thanks in advance! Amy, Starting foods is different for everybody. Rather that get 20 peoples experience with food call the office and ask to be put through to your doctor or his nurse. He is the one who can give you the best advice.

Sometimes starting new foods can start a puke fest. The stuff you mentioned is pretty mushy (no hot dogs please - they are a processed meat nad don't digest well in the begining) so maybe you need to chew more. Also, Dr. Taylor gave me this word of advice when I had the same problem - Eat more frequently and in small amounts. He thought I was waiting too long between meals when I was new and that was making the pouch angry. It helped me. So try a little tenderness a little more often. That could be a song. kp @ goal

Yikes! Hot dogs?? Try ham rollups with cream cheese. Eat some soup without beef. Try non beef meats first. They seem to be easier to adjust to. But like Kevin said, chew the heck out of your food. Hope you start feeling better soon!! Becareful with the SNOW coming your way tonight!!
