Hi Lula, So sorry to hear you were denied. Like so many others on the boards you will find you are NOT alone. For me I just went out of the country instead of playing their games. So I may not be able to help you with that but just wanted you to know I intimately understand your frustration and wi**** were different.

Hi Lula, I looked at your profile but, you don't have your insurance co. listed. who is your your insurer? That can make a difference on the co-morbidities that are expected for approval. You can call your insurer and they can tell you the types of co-morbidities they expect to see for them to give approval. I want to wish you the best and don't take NO for an answer!!!! There are many out there that had to fight for approval, but most see victory if they are dilligent. I want to wish you the best on your quest for a happy and healthy life. God Bless and take care---Toni

Hi Lula: I was pretty fortunate and didn't have tons of co-morbidities myself...but here's an example of a few: hypertension, hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, high cholesterol, PCOS, diabetes, arthritis, sleep anea. I'm sure there are many more...but for some reason that's all I can think of at this time...lol. I also agree with whoever said you should check with your insurance company to see what they are looking for. Best of luck to you. Maria W.

I too was denied yesterday for the same reasons. I agree with the above poster to check with your insurance company, because all of them are different and categorize co-morbids differently. For example, I have high blood pressure, but because I am on only 1 medication Priority Health does not consider that a co-morbid. I am diabetic, but because I don't take 3 meds or insulin, they don't consider that a co-morbid. I have high cholesterol, but again 1 med does not equal a co-morbid in their view. Ask for specifics from your insurance company. You can always appeal. Good luck to you. Tammi
