Sleep study this Friday night

I'm going Friday night to see if I have apnea. Most likely do. DH says I'm gasping in my sleep. How on earth do you sleep with all those wires and with people watching! I guess you get tired eventually? I really liked this doctor. He said he'd write a great letter supporting WLS for me.

Hello john, i just had a sleep study done about a month ago. Mine was positive for sleep apnea. I had a hard time getting comfortable becasue I kept thinking I was going to pull something on the floor with all of those wires. They had a couple of cameras in the room with glowing red lights. All I could think is I wonder if it can see me under the covers (lol) Good Luck on your study.

Hello Dee Dee, So your going in for your sleep apnea testing I had also had that done .I just took a nice befor going to relax and they gave me popcorn & pop & told me to watch some tv she would be back by 9 or 10 to hook me up . It wasn't that bad the lines for the wires are long & they laid the main pad above my head so I didn't think I would drop everything onto the floor .The hard part for me was having the wires but on my head & they stick them wires in my hair so bad with this clue stuff .With long hair that wasn't easy to get out the next day .But just do it because you'll notice the different in sleeping once you get it .I had surgery in Oct.and after 3 months my doctor wanted me retested because I've loss over 70# so tomorrow I have to call to see if I still need it I don't feel I do ! So see everthing will work out for you as well .Happy Valentines day Sue

I'm nervous but I figure if so many others have done it, I can, too. I have long hair so I hope the glue doesn't hurt! I picked a Friday night so I can go home Saturday morning and shower. I won't have to get my kids off to school either. Wish me luck!

Dee Dee , good thinking doing the study on a Friday night .The glue isn't that bad it does come out when you shower with ho****er & lots of soap it just took some time with longer or thicker hair. Good Luck you can do it ! hugs sue

I had it done also the first test to see if you have isn't bad at all. You are going to be pretty tired anyways but when you have to go back to get tested about the c-pact(?) machine it is a pain. Good luck and don't worry about it. Chances are even if you do have it, it will be gone after the surgery. Mcihelle
