Welcome to the Grandma Club, Hi Connie, I am new to the Boards but sure wanted to congratulate you. We are awaiting our 6th grandchild the end of April. There is nothing like it. I had surgery 6.5 years ago and have been to goal for 5.5 years. I can do the things with my little ones that I only dreamed about doing with their mothers. I am 52 years old and feel like I'm 25. Three of mine are in Georgia, so I know how it feels to be a long-distance Grandma. My worst fear was that they wouldn't know me. How wrong I was. We talk almost daily and visit a few times a year. Now that our oldest is 9, he has come for parts of the last 2 summers and that is very special. I can't wait until his sisters are old enough to come too.
