Hello All, I am considering the mini pouch surgery with Dr. Wood and was wondering if any of you have had this procedure, and if so, what your experience has been post op. Someone told me the Cori centers and this procedure has a bad reputation and I want to know the truth from people who have had it done. My consultation is next week. Please share your experience.

You tell me that every time we speak! You ROCK!!! Now,,, hold on to your pouch. I have in my hand a benefit flyer for Ronald McDonald House. It features a picture of a dancer from Studio Dance Elite. The dancer's name is Dr. Michael Wood!!! The man can cut a rug too!!!! He never ceases to amaze me!!! Just when I thought I had him figured out he throws me another curve. I found out that he is a walking musical encyclopdia and a fast break basketball player this past fall. kp @ goal

Hi Tami, I just wanted to say thanks for sharing your profile. It was very inspiring and you look fabulous. I only hope I can have the same success as you did. I can not imagine what that would be like. I know there is a way to sign up for an "angel" to see you through your sugery and such. Do you know how to do that? I would love to have someone to help me through my journey who has already been through it. What did you think of Dr. Wood and the Cori center? Is there somewhere in your profile that you talk about that? If so, I didn't see it. I only read your journal entries where you didn't mention him. Please let me know and thanks again for sharing your wonderful experience! Janet

Janet, If I had the opportunity to do it all over I would NOT go to CORI Center. There are other places that take better care of their patients and have a better reputation. I am very glad I had the surgery, but I would choose another center to do it with. I will probably get flamed for criticizing the almighty CORI center, but I know what my experience was, and am entitled to my opinion. However, I support you in whatever decision you make for yourself. Good Luck, Cheryl

Me too. Read away. Although Dr. Wood was not my surgeon I do, however, think the world of him. Whomever you decide to go with just do your homework. kp @ goal

Dr. Wood is the most wonderful person I know...He cares about his patients, he is honest, knowledgable & a great surgeon, I would have no one else do my procedure. The CORI Center I can not give such great cudos. I have had a couple of incedents w/ office personel, but I would do it again w/ them, to have Dr. Wood as my surgeon..You have to go w/ your heart & do what is right for you. Linda 309/200/140
