WLS moment - NO seat belt extender
I had some big WLS moments in my travels for work this week...
1) NO seat belt extender for the first time in 2 years
2) The tray table could come down and not gut me (but only when I was lucky and got the exit row - in a regular row I'm about 1 or 2 inches away)
3) I went to get my jeans pressed this morning, thought they looked too big, and went and tried on my saved clothes from one size smaller. EUREKA - they fit easily. Two weeks ago - not so much.
4) I'm on the last latches of one of my too small bras pre-surgery and the cups look ridiculous. It's a whole ugly jelly boob look that could easily land me on "What not to wear" having an ugly conversation with Clinton and Stacy about what to do with "the girls." (I made that point to my husband and he got this wicked look in his eyes. I pointed out to him that if he got me on that show while I was still fat and going through sizes this often, that he would need to enter the witness protection program for his own safety. Nuff said.)
So - I'm FEELING GREAT. I have no idea how much I've lost at this point as our scale is so inaccurate - I plan on going to the internal health center at work next week and using the medical grade scale. I'll take new pics today and try to get them on my picture trail account this weekend.
No - it's not all a bed of roses - see any post about liquid iron and individual reactions to various protein products. But really, I couldn't be happier I summoned up the courage to go through this surgery despite my fears and my family's objections.
Each day get's easier and it's a blessing.
Best,
