The scale lied! But it's right now

A couple of weeks ago, I posted that I was now under 200 pounds, as the scale read 185. Well, the next day I weighed myself again, thinking a loss of 29 pounds in two weeks was excessive. And the scale said ... 208. So I weighed myself again. Still 208. I was crestfallen. Still, that was an 11-pound loss in two weeks. Since then, I have been steadily losing again. Today, I got on the scale and it read .... drum roll please ... 198. I weighed myself two more times to be sure, and it was the same every time. So now I'm officially in One-derland. And I'll never go back to the land of super morbid obesity. By the way, for anyone wanting to jump-start their weight loss, try cutting back to one real meal a day and two protein supplement type meals (kind of like Slim-Fast). I used Grand Rapids-based MMPC's pre-op supplements (only the ones I liked). Since the first week of January, I have lost 20 pounds. So it works. Also getting the junk food out of the house made a big difference. Eileen lap rny 6-29-04 Dr. Foote 347/198/170

Thanks Eileen for the tip of jumping starting. I am going to try that as the scale has been stuck. Congratulations on the 20 pound loss. Tracey

Well, that was a bummer to find out your scale was wrong, but hey! ..you are doing wonderfully now! Good for you! And yes, thanks for the tip...I was just thinking about doing that myself...going to 2 protein drinks and one meal....sounds like a plan. I need to do something! Congrats! Theresa
