Just want to introduce myself

Hello everyone. I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to you all. My name is Jennifer (27) and I am very happily married for 3 years. I have a set of 17 month old twins Zachary and Zoey. I have begun my journey for bariatric surgery a couple of weeks ago. I just met with my family doctor to ask for a support letter for insurance and he agreed to do it!! YIPPEEEEE! I am currently 347lbs and 5 foot 6. My bmi is like 54 or 55. My husband is EXTREMELY supportive of my decision for a healthier life and my mom has finally gotten over her "fear of surgery" and is very supportive as well. I am THRILLED I found this site, as not too many people know about or are supportive of surgery (as I am sure you have all found out!). I hope I will soon be of some help to someone else just beginning their journey someday!

Oh and I am from Sterling Heights and will *hopefully* be having the Sapala-wood Micropouch done!

Welcome Jennifer! You have twins! That is awesome! I am a twin (and they run in our family) and thought how fun it would be to have twins and name them Zack & Zoe - what a coincidence!!! Of course, my husband tends to be more towards the 'traditional' names... but oh well, I can dream right?!? Michelle

Welcome to the Michigan Board Jennifer!!! I'm so glad to hear that your family doc is supportive of you having this surgery!! Think of how wonderful it is going to be to just be a healthy mom for your precious little Zachary and Zoey (I LOVE their names!!!) And a good support system in place already too...sounds like you are on the ball!! EVERYONE here is VERY supportive and VERY knowledgeable...this board has been priceless for me during this journey!!
