NOT GOOD.....
Hey guys well to make a LONG story short. I wasn't feeling well at all this weekend. Ended up passing out Sunday night. Was rushed to the ER. Well as most of you know I have had this PS issue going on for several months with my inner thigh and Ihad the revision done on Monday the 16th. Come to find out m leg was infected. The infection spread through out my whole body. I ended up getting extrememly sick, vomitting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, dizzyness, chest pains, blacking out, leg pain, back pain, confusion, etc. I was HORRIBLE! So went to ER, they started me on 24 hour IV antibiotics and admitted me....Put on complete bed rest. The following morning I ended up in Emergency surgery, they needed to fillet my left leg open AGAIN to clear out the infection, put in a drain and I continued on the Antibiotics and other meds to clear up the rest of infection in body So I stayed till today and was released. It was a horrible 3 day stay. Glad to be home. They are keeping me pretty comfy on meds, leg elevated and just relaxing.
Just thought I would fill you in. Will keep you posted.

Oh god Lauri .. I am sooo sorry to hear that .. I started to send you a hello email this morning ... but, had to head out to Dr. Ellen's to get some drainage done myself .. and never got back to sending you the email .. I am sooo sorry for not being in touch sooner. If you need any help - please ... don't hesistate to ask me ... it's the least I could do - you've helped me so much ... Hang in there .. .and ohhhhhh I am praying for you and a speedy, drain free recovery.

Wow what a horrible thing!!!! Thank goodness you caught it when you did as I am sure the outcome could have been much worse. Get well soon!
I happened to notice you are in Sterling Heights too! I was talking to my mom this morning about this site and was telling her about some peoples stories. When I told her yours and that you were my age, she said that she believes she met you at Dr. Ellen's and even spoke with you about me. Anyways long story short, I really enjoyed reading about your journey and hope that soon I will have a wonderful story to share too.
Lauri, Lauri, Lauri...my goodness, Woman! I'm so sorry you have been so sick! I've been praying for you and I'm glad you got to the ER so they could fix you up...I'm sure you're sick of being "filleted"! I pray this is the last of it for you. Keep that leg up and rest, rest, rest!
