Crittenton Hospital-Nearby Hotel recommendations anyone??

Can anyone help? I am scheduled to have my surgery on March 8. I will be arriving on March 6 and expect to be in town until March 17. Can anyone recommend a hotel that is reasonably priced and comfortable? A king size bed is a must, as is either a ground floor unit or an elevator. A tiny bathroom isn't desirable for obvious reasons. Also, any suggestions anyone has with regard to assisting with comfort while travelling after surgery would be most appreciated. I have at least an 8 hour trip home to Canada. (Fortunately my husband will be with me and will be driving.) Thanks so much! Dawn

Dawn, I'm assuming you mean Crittenton Hospital in Rochester? If so, there are several hotels in Auburn Hills (about 10 minute drive to the hospital; priced at $79 and up) in the area of I-75 & University Rd. I'm not sure of your budget but there is the Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester (approximately 2 miles from Crittenton) - it is brand new and very nice (www.royalparkhotel.net; approximately $129 per night). If you go to expedia.com you can search hotels in Rochester and Auburn Hills. Also - if you go to Crittenton's website, under Visitor information, I found this - http://www.crittenton.com/index.asp?item=189&name=Hotels&site=6. Apparently at those hotels they have reduced rates. Hope this helps! Good luck to you!! Nicole

I agree that the Troy Marriott is nice - I believe it would be too far from Crittenton. That area is very congested with traffic nearly 24 hours a day - it would take anywhere from 25-60 minutes one way just to get to Crittenton (depending on the time of day).
