HI everyone I am wondering if anyone has develped problems with there blood sugar after surgery. I am almost 2 years post op and have suffered from major complications and major set backs with my weight loss. I have never had problems with it before surgery and diabetes does not run in my family and lately when I eat any type of food. I get dizzy, sweaty, light headed and feel like I am going to faint. I was told at mayo clinic that bypass patients can develope hyperglycimia and hypoglyciemia after surgery and I am thinking that is what happening to me also to add to the list of complications and problems. Thanks for the info. Tricia

I too have been having problems with hypoglycemia. Went down into the 30's one evening and comatose like state. Talked with my doc and he said it is too many carbohydrates. So now I am very careful about what I eat. I am still confused about whether to eat simple or complex carbs. Am doing a lot of research on this area. Doctor called it a late dumping syndrome. Good luck with it. Shelley S

I am also having problems with this and I am 3 years out! I would like information about this so if you have any to pass on to me I would appreciate it. My blood sugar goes very low without any warning and it really worries me. Thanks!
