Fruit Flavored Protein?
Hi Normie,
Go to bariatriaceating.com or look in the sidebar (on the left). You will find four boxes near the bottom. Click on the second box that will take you there. I have found I like most of their protein drinks. You may want to look at the nectar's. They do have lot's of sample size packets. Hope this helps
God bless you,
Annette
Normie,
I also bought some from bariatric eating.com, she had sample packs for $1.75 per pack, I tried so far the granny smith apple, the fuzzzy navel nectar, and the canteloupe! They were all tasty, I mixed them with water but I've sen some postings where people say their taste changed post op. I did like the idea of the sampler packs, though.
DIVA
www.vitalady.com sells samples. I bought a bunch and tried them that way.

Ditto the suggestions on Bariatriceating.com - I did the samples and it saved my life.
FYI - Nectar has a great lemon ice tea flavor that really masks the protein taste. Made with tea so it really tastes pretty close - the color is OFF though. Also, note that Nectar is all whey whereas the Matrix line - while creamy - has both short and long acting protein sources.
I find that if I have a glass of Nectar - I might be hungry in a couple of hours. If I use the Matrix - my blood sugar seems to stay level for longer - more like 4 - 5 hours. They do have an orange cream Matrix - I'm ordering that tomorrow so I don't yet have first hand experience with it.
On the other hand, my Nut allows me to count the Nectar as a clear liquid towards my total and that is quite handy.
Best,

Annette, Sheryl, Chele, Diva & Michele,
Thanks to all of you, for responding to my post. There are so many different protein products out there; I needed to hear from someone who knew of some good ones. I have seen the posts that say they can't stand the taste. I really want to do all of what my Doc says in reguards to the protein Anyway, thanks for your help.
