USE TO WEAR 24/26 PANTS, DOWN TO 16'S NOW!!!

I'm heading to a homecoming party Sunday, Jan 29th in Grand Rapids, for my friend Mark, who just returned home safely with the 1073rd Maintenance Company out of Greenville, MI - they were in Baghdad, Iraq for about one year. I went shopping today for new jeans, something nice, that I could wear because most of the people I will see tomorrow, have not seen me since I had WLS surgery in July 2005. So I wanted to look nice....finally. I walked around the store hunting for jeans...size 18, 20 ...and so on. Well, to my shock, none of those fit. THEY WERE TOO BIG!!!!!!!!!!!! So I then went and located a pair of size 16. Thinking, laughing out loud, "THESE AREN'T GONNA FIT ME!!!" Sighing, I went into the dressing room......... PUT THEM ON, PULLED THEM UP, ZIPPED THEM AND LOOKED IN THE MIRROR WITH TEARS IN MY EYES BECAUSE THEY FIT ME!!!!!!!!!!!! I have not worn size 16 since the late 80's ....I have been wearing size 24/26 pants, and size 2-3X in tops. I tell you, I have not been able to get over what happened today and I just wanted to share the glory with all of you Thanks for all your support!!!

Stacey Just you wait girl those size 16 jeans will be in the give away pile of clothes before you know it and you will be getting a pair of these size 11 that I am wearing that are getting baggy on my butt already, the only thing is, I will have to cut them off and hem them for you, these are all talls!!! Just think, it has only been 6 months....you are doing so great!! You will be in single digits by the end of your journey. It truely is an amazing and mind-blowing experience. You are on the right track, keep up the good work. I will talk to you when you get back from GR and we can set up another exercise session....so much fun to just get out and do what is good for us. I know exactly how you feel and it is soooo when you get into those smaller pants! In December (and only 3 months out) I had to get a nice pair of dress pants and I was able to get into a size 16!! This month I decided to get a pair of stretch jeans (and I too, haven't worn jeans in about 20 years). I was shocked that I could get into a size 14! I for joy and almost screamed in the dressing room I was so happy!

Congrats Stacy! Isn't it the most fun! I used to hate to shop for clothes, Now it's so much fun to buy anything I want in any store I see. It only gets better. Great Job! Ron
