Thank you Secret Pal

Thank you for the instant lottery tickets. I actually won $5 on one of them. I'm sorry it took me so long to post. I took my mother to the doctor's office and then to emergency Tuesday before noon. She ended up having emergency surgery on Wednesday morning. They found a perferated bowel, ruptured appendics, and an adominin inflamed. If they hadn't operated, she would not have lasted very long. She will be 90 on February 6, and it was a very hard decision to make (they had no real proof of what they would find when they opened her up). She is doing great, they were even able to take her on the ventilater within 12 hours of surgery. My mother usually doesn't sleep in the hospital, and gets very confused. Someone has to stay with her 24/7. So, needless to say, I've been at the hospital a lot this week. Hopefully, she will be going home in a couple of days.
