Back from Cleveland
Hey everyone-
I got back from Cleveland late in the evening last night. I am so exhausted from the trip. We were not able to fly to Cleveland because of the weather. So my friend and I drove to Cleveland on Wednesday. We stayed at a nice ladies house. They have a type of Hospitality housing where you can stay at people homes in a room for alot cheaper than a hotel room with all the same amenities. Then we got up bright and early yesterday to be at the Clinic by 10am. I got there, I first saw one of Dr. Schauer's fellows and went over my medical records. Then after a while Dr. Schauer's came into see me and basically he came and told me that he really didn't know what could be done for me. He said that he would never reverse anyone it just wasn't an option he felt was even there. He said maybe removing the remnant stomach would help. He suggested having a diagnostic laproscopy where I was awake while he looked around inside and I could tell him where the pain was. He said that he could do it or I could have Dr. Kemmeter do it. He also told me that Dr. Kemmeter has done every test and treatment that he would have tried. I am really feeling terrible. I have been in a lot of pain and the nausea and vomiting is driving me crazy. Thank you all for the good thoughts and prayers.
Hugs-
Charla
Charla - I'm so sorry that you didn't receive more helpful information in Cleveland.
Have you been on the yahoo group for wls that have gone wrong??
Here's the link for it, I don't know if you'll find any answers or suggestions there, but it's worth a try.

Oh Charla, I wish they had some type of tangible answer for you! I guess it's good to know that the care you've gotten from Dr. K is the best, but frustrating to feel the pain and nausea all the time. Did they give you any idea on how to deal with the trouble? Is the pain in the remnant stomach or did he know? I will keep you in my prayers, sweetie. I know you have really been through the wringer. Love, Pam
