wow, I dont even know where to begin. Well I found out yesterday that I have been approved for surgery. I cried. Tears rolling down.
I couldn't explain the feeling I felt. But I know most of you know what I mean. I started this journey with a few people that have been wonderful to me on this board, and now most of you are like family! Even though we have NOT met, I know from the grace of your prayers, it really helped.
I give all of you a huge hug! I wanna thank everyone who was there and talk to me and gave me a prayer. It means so much!
I also got a call today stated my out of pocket will only be 1500.00 which isnt bad at all. The lady said they will call me by next week so sched a date for the surgery. I want it after March 5th b/c that's when My parents will be home from there vacation, and would really want them there for me!
Well again, A huge thank you for all your prayers.
Now I need them for this surgery! LOL

Congrats. Kimberley on your approval. I know the crying thing well, I got an e-mail while I was on vacation since they couldn't reach me by phone and I started bawling. The lady that was there was wondering what was wrong with me! When I told her what I was upset about, she told me she had her surgery and had lost around 120 lbs. I would have never thought she had a weight problem. Now, a year later, people are saying that about me! You are in for an awesome adventure in your life. Get ready for a great ride, and hang on tight! Love, Pam

Can I offer you a little advice?
I'll take that as a yes.
Start preparing for it now. Get rid of all the bad stuff in our house now. It doesn't matter if others can eat it. They don't need it either.
Start trying protein products and see which ones you like best even though that may change after your surgery. Buy in small quantities.
Start walking now and begin a water intake regimen.
These things will help you when you are home after surgery and just trying to get your bearing.
You support plan is important - make sure they know you are determined to make this work and it is FOREVER. You don't need to hear about the councilwoman or any other horror stories.
"Be my support during this. I need you now more than ever and I promise when I am through the whole process you will be proud of me."
