Venting my frustrastion
Well Just when I think i'm getting closer something happens. My stress and pulminary test are postponed till Feb.22 because my PCP office did not know that I needed a preapproval for them.I'm feeling frustrated and with the weather like it is I can't get out much,so I think I'll have my husband get all my exercise machines out and start using them instead of hanging close on them maybe the time will go by faster!! it's really nice to be able to vent your feelings on here !!** sunflower**
Carla: Yep, we've all been there! You have a great idea for working through the stress of the pre-op stuff. Exercise releases all kinds of endorphins that lift your mood, so get out the equipment and DO IT! You know, all things will happen when they are meant to. It took me about 9 months before all the paperwork and problems were straightened out and I got my surgery. Take a look at my journal and it tells the story! You'll succeed at this stage and it will make you stonger for succeeding after surgery! Pam
You could be right about things happen when they are supposed to because I have not been very active lately and I've been down in the dumps (winter blues) maybe I would have failed the stress test not being in very good physical health. I did not know about endorphins and exercising Thanks for the info and encouragement !! **sunflower**
Sometimes when I'm at work, and can't exercise for the day, while I'm sitting down I do leg and ankle exercises, and use my arms more .. kind of like rotating propellors on an airplane. Sounds corny but also, when standing at the kitchen sink doing dishes, they say lifting your legs left to right just some off the ground kind of like a little bit of ballet, helps burn calories and it is indeed, exercise.
It doesn't mean you have to do a half hour of aerobics but just moving helps and gets your body in tune for what lies ahead!
