OK, I haven't been on this board in about 3 months, but I have a question. I have hit a plateau already at 6 months, and it's lasted for about 3.5 weeks. When did you hit a plateau, how long did it last and what did you do differently to bust through it? I turned over a new leaf today and went straight to the gym and worked out for an hour and drank a bunch of water and it's all protein for me today, no carbs.

Brooke, I don't know if this helps but in a past article of OH it says this: ".... But first let us define a true plateau. A plateau is when you've maintained your weight and your measurements for four weeks. If you are still losing inches, you are not on a plateau, you are simply redistributing the weight. " Here is the whole article: http://oh-magazine.com/Plateaus.pdf Sheryl In the Zoo

Hi Brooke, yesterday started week #6 of my plateau. I havent lost any weight, I haven't lost any inches! I have'nt lost anything except maybe my mind. This started at month out. I have tried everything to break it~ nothing works! I have been keeping close contact with my nutritionist, she has look over my food and exercise journal. I am doing everything right~it's just not working. This is very, very discouraging. Hang in there~this to shall pass ~someday. God bless you, Annette

Annette I've been thinking about your situation. If you read through profiles, you'll notice that once people make it to the century mark their bodies tend to stall out for a while as things adjust. YOU my friend HAVE hit the century mark! Between your pre-op loss and post-op loss, you made it my dear! I'm betting that your body is just adjusting to that significant loss and things will kick into gear real soon. As always, you have my prayers! Sheryl In the Zoo 369/321/???
