Has it been 3 years already?!
Today is my 3 year re-birthday. I have to say I'd do this all over again if need be. I've been so blessed with a great journey. I have regained a couple of pounds but I do stay on top of it as much as I can. I'm still at goal and plan to stay that way for a long time to come. I don't post often but I do keep you all in my prayers and answer posts when I feel I have something to contribute.
All those working on approval keep on task. It's so worth it. Please for all those considering WLS or who are recent post op's make sure you're ready to follow your surgeon's protocol. It's the key to a successful outcome. Don't test the waters, so to speak, to see how much sugar you can eat without dumping or if you can eat those greasy fries at a fast food restaurant. It's not about seeing what you can get away with, it's about a new start. You've been given a great tool but if you don't use it wisely or correctly it will fail you. Get your minds made up that you will continue to 'do' whatever it takes to be healthy. Drink all the liquids you're supposed to. Get in your protein. Take your vitamins. Do your follow up's with your surgeon or PCP. Exercise and enjoy the journey. Be Blessed!
