Anyone use a lawyer to get approval??

Hi Everyone, I know I read somewhere that people have used a lawyer to help obtain insurance approval if necessary..did I read that here on the Michigan board or someplace else? Just curious to know..if it came to that, how you find a lawyer for this situation and what the expense is.

Kim, There is a lawyer that advertises on this site named Gary Visscio, I know that some of the people in OH have used him. He has had the surgery him self. He may even be listed under professionals. Im not sure. Amy Williams on the main board talks about him. You might try getting in contact with her. Cheryl

Thanks Cheryl, Just something to keep in mind.. I haven't gotten my first "official" denial yet...but from what I've seen, it looks like it's comin....

Kim: I did not use a lawyer, but I appealed to the state after HAP denied me for the final time. My cost was the copies, postage, and the time it took to write the appeal letter.

I used a lawyer an got some rather stern disapproval - from the people I sued!! kp @ goal
